Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase - we never see or store your raw password).
• Resume & job content: the resume text (pasted, uploaded, or built via our form) and job description text you submit, plus the tailored resumes, cover letters, and keyword analyses generated from them.
• Payment information: if you purchase credits, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number - we only receive confirmation of payment and the number of credits purchased.
• Usage data: basic technical logs (e.g. request metadata) generated by our hosting provider for security and debugging purposes.

2. How we use your information

• To generate your tailored resumes, cover letters, and keyword analyses;
• To save your resume and generation history so you can revisit or reuse it without re-entering it;
• To process payments and credit your account;
• To maintain the security and reliability of the service;
• To communicate with you about your account (e.g. email confirmation, support requests).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your resume content to train AI models.

3. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers needed to operate TrueFitResume:

• Anthropic - receives the resume and job description text you submit, in order to generate the tailored output. See Anthropic's own privacy policy for how they handle API data.
• Stripe - receives your email and payment details to process credit-pack purchases.
• Supabase - hosts our database and handles authentication; stores your account and content data.
• Vercel - hosts the application itself.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

4. Data retention

We retain your account, resume, and generation history until you request deletion or close your account. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@truefitresume.com.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@truefitresume.com and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Cookies

We use only the minimal cookies necessary to keep you signed in (managed by Supabase Auth). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access to your content is restricted at the database level so that only you can read your own resumes and generations. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we follow industry-standard practices to protect your data.

8. Children's privacy

TrueFitResume is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
