Terms of Service

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use TrueFitResume. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.

2. What TrueFitResume does

TrueFitResume uses a third-party AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to rewrite resume content and draft cover letters based on the resume and job description text you submit. Generated content is produced automatically and is not reviewed by a human before being shown to you.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated resume, cover letter, or analysis before using or submitting it to a prospective employer. TrueFitResume does not guarantee that generated content is accurate, complete, ATS-compatible, or free of errors, and does not guarantee any particular job-search outcome (such as interviews or job offers).

3. Free usage and paid credits

TrueFitResume provides a limited number of free tailored-resume and cover-letter generations per account. Additional generations can be purchased as one-time, non-recurring "credit packs" through our payment processor, Stripe. Credits do not expire unless stated otherwise at time of purchase, are tied to your account, and have no cash value.

Except where required by applicable law, purchases of credit packs are final and non-refundable once at least one credit from the pack has been used. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@truefitresume.com.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to submit false/fraudulent information;
• Attempt to circumvent free-usage limits (e.g. via multiple accounts) or paid-credit metering;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure;
• Use the service to generate content on behalf of someone else without their consent;
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell access to the service without our written permission.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the resume text, job descriptions, and any other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that content (including sending it to our AI provider) solely to provide the service to you. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is stored and used.

6. Third-party services

TrueFitResume relies on third-party providers to operate, including Anthropic (AI generation), Stripe (payment processing), and Supabase (authentication and data storage). Your use of TrueFitResume is also subject to the applicable terms of those providers where relevant.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms. You may stop using TrueFitResume and request account deletion at any time by contacting support@truefitresume.com.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

TrueFitResume is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrueFitResume and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including outcomes related to job applications made using generated content.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of TrueFitResume after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Insert your state/country of business registration], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
